About Me
My experience with diverse patient groups has given me a deep understanding of the systems that influence balance and facial function, particularly in relation to balance disorders like BPPV and SCCD. I am skilled in diagnosing and treating vestibular conditions and facial pathologies, supporting individuals dealing with dizziness, vertigo, and facial weakness. I also address related issues such as hearing loss and tinnitus, offering effective tinnitus treatment.
My approach is holistic and patient-centered, with personalized treatment plans designed to meet each individual’s goals. I am dedicated to helping people regain confidence, independence, and a better quality of life through vestibular rehabilitation. Dr Sk Mamun Ur Rashid
Consultant Physician Audiovestibular Medicine
Dr SK Mamun Ur Rashid is a UK-trained Consultant Physician in Audiovestibular Medicine at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He specialises in dizziness, vertigo, balance and complex hearing disorders in adults and children.
With specialist training in Audiovestibular Medicine at UCLH and Imperial College Healthcare, and previous ENT surgical training, he holds advanced qualifications in audiology and otolaryngology, including MRCS, DOHNS and a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Audiology. He is actively involved in research, teaching and multidisciplinary care, with peer-reviewed publications and presentations at national and international meetings.

We assess and manage a wide range of dizziness, vertigo, balance and hearing disorders, including BPPV, vestibular migraine, Ménière’s disease, PPPD, vestibular neuritis and other causes of persistent dizziness and imbalance. We also assess hearing loss, tinnitus, and sound sensitivity, providing specialist investigation and treatment based on individual needs.

Audiology and Vestibular Testing
We provide comprehensive audiological and vestibular testing to investigate dizziness, vertigo, balance and hearing disorders. Following specialist clinical assessment, investigations are selected according to individual symptoms and may include pure-tone and speech audiometry, tympanometry, otoacoustic emissions, VNG, video head impulse testing (vHIT), caloric testing and VEMP.
Targeted testing helps assess auditory and vestibular function, support diagnosis and guide individualised treatment or rehabilitation.

Dizziness and balance disorders are often complex and may involve more than one system. We take a patient-centred, multidisciplinary approach, bringing together specialist medical assessment, audiology and vestibular physiotherapy where appropriate.
Your symptoms, examination and test findings are considered together to reach a clinically meaningful diagnosis and develop an individualised management plan, which may include medical treatment, vestibular rehabilitation and ongoing specialist care.

The clinic provides access to comprehensive audiological and vestibular diagnostic facilities, allowing assessment and investigation of dizziness, vertigo, balance, hearing and tinnitus disorders in one specialist setting.

Vestibular Rehabilitation
Vestibular rehabilitation is a specialised form of physiotherapy for people experiencing dizziness, vertigo and balance problems. Our specialist vestibular physiotherapist works closely with me to provide an individualised programme based on your diagnosis, symptoms and clinical findings.
Treatment may include gaze-stability, balance, habituation and movement-based exercises, with tailored rehabilitation for conditions such as vestibular hypofunction, BPPV, PPPD and visually induced dizziness. Our aim is to improve balance, reduce dizziness and help you regain confidence in everyday activities.
