If you are suffering from dizziness, vertigo or loss of balance, then you might benefit from vestibular rehabilitation.
Vestibular rehabilitation consists of exercises designed to retrain the balance system and to reprogramme the part of the brain that deals with movement to gradually reduce the severity of symptoms.
Living with balance problems can be extremely debilitating and balance difficulty impacts hugely on quality of life. Dizziness and balance difficulties prevent someone from doing usual everyday activities like driving and household chores, strenuous activities and hobbies.
At Wessex Dizziness and Hearing there is Audiology led vestibular rehabilitation programme. The specialist audiologist works closely with the consultant audio Vestibular physician offering balance rehabilitation programmes tailored to patient's needs. They will work with you to understand the cause of your balance problems and develop a personalised treatment plan that will help you manage your concern, working towards resolving your symptoms and help you get back to everyday life.
